Web Adept’s New Look: Behind the Scenes of Our Latest Brand Refresh

Change is a funny thing. Some say it’s as good as a rest. Others find it uncomfortable and avoid it at all costs. However, the one thing about change is that it’s inevitable – especially in the world of digital marketing. When it comes to your branding, it’s particularly important to make sure it’s changing and evolving in perfect harmony with your business.

Brand updates are something we advise our clients about on a daily basis, but we don’t just talk the talk. As a company who strive to be at the top of our game, we have to practice what we preach. That’s why over the past year, we stopped to look inward, take stock of recent developments, and decided it was time for a brand makeover that reflects who we are now and where we’re going. The result is a totally revamped website and overall brand refresh for 2024 and beyond that has put a big spring in our Web Adept step.

For us, the brand overhaul is much more than a cosmetic exercise—it’s a vital part of our business’s journey, keeping us relevant, competitive, and aligned with our goals.

How Do You Know When it’s Time to Update Your Brand?

We couldn’t agree more. To thrive, a brand needs consistent care and attention. As well as helping clients with their brand identities, we haven’t lost sight of the importance of regularly checking in with our own. 

For any business, there will be minor brand issues that crop up now and again and require some ironing out. No biggie. But when the list is starting to get longer, it’s usually a sign that now’s the time to really reassess things as a whole and make some bigger changes. 

Over the years, we’ve had a few interesting points crop up that have prompted us to take a closer look and kick off a revamp. For example, we’ve been called some weird and wonderful variations on Web Adept at times, which made us wonder whether we should change it to something else. We’ve also had the occasional client (and even staff member) struggle to grasp a logo or some messaging. When we encounter issues like these, we see it as a bit of a red flag that we need to stop and ask more questions, e.g.:

  • Does our messaging still fit our business, our audience and current market trends?
  • Do our graphics and website look dated compared to our competitors? 
  • Is our digital presence truly reflective of where we are and what we offer at this moment?
  • Are our processes as fast and efficient as they could be?

If any of the answers are ’no’, it’s a good indicator that now’s the time to get our thinking caps on and decide on any important changes that need to happen.

Now, our updated brand identity and website truly reflect every bit of the 27 years of experience and expertise we bring to our customers and the pride we take in being a dynamic, innovative company with a real focus on quality. 

It’s also been a game changer internally. Our team has become more cohesive, our processes are tighter and more efficient, and we’re more aligned than ever in our mission to deliver outstanding results.

Whatever business you’re in, there will always be a pivotal moment when transformation is essential. OK, so it often involves a fair amount of hard work and troubleshooting but in our experience, it never fails to pay off.

The Future is Bright

It’s been a long time in the making but the team have been absolute legends in putting in the hard graft and we’re super happy with what we’ve achieved. The project has involved pulling some serious overtime (and we might have grown a few more grey hairs) but every second was worth it to bring our brand bang up to speed and give it the momentum to carry us forward to a new phase of the business that we’re genuinely excited about.
