Melin Tregwynt has been weaving in Pembrokeshire since 1912, when the Griffiths family took on the mill. More than a century later, it’s internationally recognised for its distinctive Welsh textiles, from blankets and fabrics to homeware, many of which are stocked by well-known retailers. Quite a legacy for a small mill in a West Wales valley.
The business now runs as an Employee-Owned Trust, which keeps the craft and knowledge of the people who actually make the products central to how it operates.
Melin Tregwynt’s reputation was already there. What the team wanted was to get more out of their digital advertising and bring more customers through the online shop.
We worked on their Google and Bing campaigns, building the structure around key product lines and the seasonal moments that matter most in their calendar.
The objective was straightforward: make sure Melin Tregwynt showed up when people were actively searching for quality textiles and homeware. Then it was a case of monitoring closely and steadily shifting spend toward the searches that were actually converting.

The campaigns delivered strong results throughout the year, putting the mill in front of far more people searching online for blankets and other woven products. Performance continued to build as the campaigns were refined, rising by a further 40% during the Christmas shopping period. Short promotional campaigns proved particularly effective, with one campaign delivering more than a 100× return in just five days by capturing a surge in buying intent. Overall, the advertising became a reliable driver of online sales, bringing a strong flow of customers through the mill’s e-commerce store.
