Superfast Business Wales provides fully funded advice, guidance and expert tips to Welsh businesses, helping them improve their use of technology and adopt new digital solutions.

the brief

Superfast Business Wales asked us to tender to deliver in-person training sessions to their attendees on a wide range of digital topics, including social media, digital marketing, search engine optimisation and websites.

We were successful in being chosen to lead these workshops. After each session, businesses were given a one to one session with a Business Wales consultant to help them with their individual needs.

the solution

With over 25 years of industry experience, we were more than qualified for the role. We know techy stuff isn’t for everyone which is why we created bespoke and engaging workshops with a focus on jargon-free information.

Between January 2016 and May 2023, we trained over 2500 businesses of all sizes, delivering over 500 digital workshops both face-to-face and online. The training covered every level from beginner to advanced on a range of topics including Ecommerce, Social Media, SEO, one-to-one Digital Road Maps sessions, Digital Marketing, Website Considerations, Newsletter marketing and Starting your Business Online.

We also delivered Keynote presentations to the Welsh Government and lead corporates on digital topics.

overcoming challenges

Ah, the pandemic. That put an end to in-person workshops but, as the lead provider, we were able to switch things up within a matter of days, working with the Welsh government, Serco, Business Wales and Superfast teams to get everything set up online and deliver the workshops virtually – for which we got great feedback. Although we loved doing things in person, we soon realised that there were benefits to having virtual training for our clients. Online, we could reach even more people with convenient sessions businesses could join from anywhere in Wales, so the decision was made to keep them virtual.
