TYF has been helping people experience the thrill of outdoor adventure in Pembrokeshire since the 1980s. Based in St Davids, right inside the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, they run surfing, kayaking, climbing and coasteering sessions – and are widely credited with helping establish coasteering as a popular global sport.
Beyond the activity days, they run outdoor education programmes for schools and professional training for budding adventure instructors.
The challenge here was visibility. Outdoor activities in Pembrokeshire are a competitive space, and TYF needed to stand out when people search for things to do locally. At the same time, the campaigns had to reach several different audiences, such as tourists, schools and prospective instructors.
We strengthened TYF’s digital marketing across key search and advertising platforms, building separate campaign structures for each audience rather than relying on one broad campaign. This allowed the targeting and messaging to be much more focused.

The campaigns significantly expanded TYF’s online reach, putting the brand in front of a far larger audience searching for outdoor activities in Pembrokeshire. The campaigns maintained a click-through rate of around 2% across highly competitive searches for outdoor activities, a strong level of engagement for the sector.
That visibility translated into hundreds of bookings and enquiries, supporting activity sessions, school groups and instructor training courses while keeping TYF firmly on the radar for people planning outdoor adventures in the area.
