All Things Wales/Cymru Wrth Galon is an inspirational online start-up that’s passionate about supporting independent Welsh businesses by giving them the exposure they deserve. There’s a strong appetite for buying from Welsh businesses from many customers here in Wales and those with Welsh links across the world. That growing desire helped All Things Wales achieve a loyal Twitter following of more than 6,000 followers in just six months and they’ve gone from strength to strength ever since.

the brief

We love helping clients take a project from concept to reality, so this was a great assignment for us, from creating the brand identity and guidelines to designing an exceptional website that shows just what wonderful Wales has to offer.

The team wanted the perfect shop window for promoting Welsh products and services to online consumers at home and abroad. The site itself needed to be clean, cohesive and no fuss – so finding that special gift or a little piece of Wales for someone far from home was as simple and straightforward as possible. As well as targeting consumers, it also had to appeal to independent businesses and encourage them to join the All Things Wales/Cymru Wrth Galon revolution without any barriers to purchase.

the solution

Our experienced marketing team created various brand concepts for All Things Wales/Cymru Wrth Galon before honing their favourite concept into the finalised brand they use today, both on and offline.

Inspired by the signed off brand, our gifted gurus then created a custom, user friendly website that works seamlessly across all devices. It’s got everything the team need, including a secure e-commerce subscription set up, a dashboard area where members can keep track of their subscriptions and profile, a user directory with multi search functionalities, and a blog and feed for all those promotions.

Carefully curated, professional images are absolutely integral to making a website look amazing and play a huge role in both backing up the content of the copy and creating a unique atmosphere that gives customers a true feel for your business. On this project, the culture of the country and the organisation were perfectly reflected in the visuals throughout the site.

other challenges

We had to bring all our tricks out of the bag for this one – from technical design and development to marketing and business coaching. We were by Angharad’s side at every step, from concept to final product, helping her realise her vision and giving the All Things Wales/Cymru Wrth Galon team a firm foundation for future growth and success.

They also threw us a curve ball on the branding, wanting it to be obviously Welsh without being stereotypically red, white and green, or dragon focused. Instead, the colours used in the final brand represent the coastline and sky, the green, green grass of home, the people and the coal mining heritage – a cool twist on the norm.
