TidyMinds is a Swansea Bay University Health Board and Swansea Council for Voluntary Services online initiative offering mental health support information across the Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot areas. Aimed at children and young people, the website’s purpose is to help youngsters, their parents and professionals working with children and families find the local advice and support they need.

the brief

This was only a build rather than a design project but an interesting challenge for us as we had to re-build the site using exactly the same design as the WordPress back office they already had from a previous developer.

The main focus here was to make the site more intuitive and user-friendly for the TidyMinds team so they could manage it all more easily and effectively. 

the solution

Boosting the functionality was the key aim on this project, so we decided that re-building the site to have one of our super cool and flexible back offices would be the best option. Since the re-build, we’ve also provided training to the TidyMinds team and made a few more changes here and there as necessary.

Images weren’t a feature on this site, but we kept the colourful, eye-catching graphics inherited from the previous website design.

other challenges

The amount of coding that would be needed to improve the basic functionality was an issue here as it would have been quite costly and time consuming.

That’s why we decided that, rather than re-coding, we’d go with our super cool back office option instead, saving everyone heaps of time and money.
